Specular reflection is the mirror-like reflection of light from a surface, in which light from a single incoming direction is reflected into a single outgoing direction. If a light beam strikes a surface like paper or cardboard with a certain angle of incidence (ε), some of it will penetrate the surface, the rest will be reflected.
